












The engineering team at Alnitak Alakhder implemented an IT infrastructure project for the General Company for Ports of Iraq at the Al-Qibba Building, including the construction and supply of an integrated Data Center according to international standards and its connection to a fiber optic network, according to the highest technical and engineering standards, ensuring reliability, ease of management, and future scalability.
Scope of Work:
- Implementation of a fiber optic network approximately 24 strands long to connect the Al-Qibba Building to the IT center
- Construction and supply of a Data Center according to international standards using German Morell equipment and solutions
- Implementation of a raised floor and full fit-out of the data center room
- Laying and implementation of more than 700 network points across all sections and facilities of the building
- Installation of approximately 20 integrated network cabinets with power units, network distributors, cable distributors, and fiber optic distributors
- Equipping the data center room with appropriate power and cooling systems to ensure continuous equipment operation
- Execution of all fiber optic splicing and testing works using specialized professional equipment
- Programming, commissioning, and testing of all network devices, and conducting final tests and addressing any observations before handover
- Training the client's engineering and technical staff on managing and operating the system
