The engineering team at Alnitak Alakhder implemented an integrated project to design, supply, and commission the communications and data network infrastructure along with surveillance systems at the Siba Gas Field, for Kuwait Energy Company — one of the operators in the oil and gas sector. The project covered an operational site spread across 22 caravans, providing a unified system combining a high-capacity data network, comprehensive wireless coverage, security surveillance, and power protection, designed for a sensitive work environment requiring high reliability and operational continuity.
Scope of Work:
- Laying and connecting approximately 15,000 meters of copper network cables (UTP Cat6) forming the backbone of the data network and connecting all site facilities
- Implementing approximately 500 meters of Fiber Optic cables (12-Core) with termination, splicing, and testing works to secure a high-speed main link
- Installation of Keystone units, network faceplates, patch cords and all accessories, for an organized, maintainable, and expandable cabling system
- Installation and connection of a surveillance system consisting of 4 PTZ cameras and 16 fixed cameras, distributed according to site coverage requirements
- Providing comprehensive wireless internet coverage through the installation and distribution of 44 Access Points across 22 caravans
- Supply of network cabinets, fiber distribution units (ODF), patch panels, and cable organizers in an organized engineering layout
- Installation of power distribution units (PDU) and an uninterruptible power system (UPS) to protect equipment and ensure continuous operation without interruption
