The engineering team at Alnitak Alakhder implemented an integrated project to secure security surveillance for the Sanitary Landfill Department site of the Basra Municipality Directorate — a vital service site located outside the boundaries of Basra city. The system was designed to provide comprehensive round-the-clock surveillance coverage despite the site's remoteness and infrastructure challenges, relying on engineering solutions that ensure stable performance and operational continuity.
Scope of Work:
- Supply and installation of 23 surveillance cameras distributed to cover the entire site and its surroundings, with a fully integrated wired network connection between them to ensure stable, reliable signal transmission without interruption
- Design and installation of a 24-meter tower to raise the cameras and communication equipment to a height that provides the widest field of view and enhances wireless connection quality
- Achieving a reliable internet connection with the nearest service provider in the area — a key challenge the team addressed given the site's distance from in-city service networks — enabling remote monitoring and access
- Supply of a backup power source to ensure the system operates without interruption during power outages, preserving round-the-clock security coverage
- Comprehensive technical inspection and performance testing of all components before final handover to the beneficiary
Highlights:
- Securing a vital government service site to precise technical specifications
- Addressing the site-remoteness challenge through an integrated wireless connectivity and backup power system
- Completing the project fully within 20 working days
